To mark International Women’s Day, together with Joanna, we explored how women’s rights have evolved across different regions of the world.
Using data from the Women, Business and the Law Index, we wanted to present the story in a way that goes beyond a traditional chart. The idea was simple: when women’s rights grow, the flower blooms. Each flower represents the percentage of legal rights women have in a region – the more rights, the fuller the bloom.
For this special occasion, we also designed a custom flower-shaped visual in Deneb, turning the data into a small symbolic “bouquet” of women’s rights around the world.
